Question about my $5.00 chainsaw

I stopped at a garage sale and picked up a McCulloch CS 1435 chainsaw for $5.00 It is in good condition and cleaned up nice. Pour a bit of fuel mixture in the carb and she started, wouldn't rev up but after adjusting the low speed jet it seems to run pretty good.I should of knew better than to push on the primer bulb as it was hard, it broke or should I say shattered when I pushed it. My question is shouldn't it be leaking gas from the broken bulb (it isn't) and can I put a new one in without much trouble. Are primer bulbs a standard size or do I have to find an OEM one. Thanks! It'll more than likely have to be matched up. Most manufacturers use certain types of sizes.
