Ryobi battery electric wood splitter

It seems to be a rack and pinion with flywheel like other kinetic splitters. Looks like it overloaded and shut down when it did not get a full cycle after the second attempt. Was wondering if it would use the design like a battery nail gun.
 
It's like battery electric saws - this battery electric splitter definitely isn't for everyone, but the answer to prayers for the right people. For the intended market, the only improvement I see is that it needs a plug in adapter for continuous use.

My 5 ton 120v electric over hydraulic splitter does much better than I expected it to. I'm intrigued with this battery electric splitter, and glad to see the tech being explored - that's the only way it improves.
