Look what Carolyn got me for our 40th Anniversary. You know, it's true, look where she put it.

Saw an old Chevy truck with the spare carrier on the bed like yours go by today Mark. Had a nice sound to it. Only problem was it looked like a test vehicle for dupont paint. :crazy2: Or he was buying rattle cans on clearance at Walmart and they only had 1 or 2 of a color.
That’s a look guys go for almost every panel a different color . Not a big fan of it I like mostly one color and maybe a little patina . That’s how my other 68 evolved. I’m leaving it just the way it is there is no clear on it I just buffed and waxed it . I get some rust on the bare steel over time but I just use a real fine polishing 3m pad and some wax on it . I see that multicolor "look" on a FB early chevy page I'm on. I'm a one color guy. I'm stihl looking for my '55 chevy panel I sold years ago.

Some progress...
A shitload to go :p
3 buckets of small stuff still soaking.
Then comes all the larger parts...

More today...
Along with my 261 parts box I have enough for 2 good saws after adding a top cover, 1 case side ($45, ordered off ebay), bearings/seals, gasket kits and maybe some misc small stuff. 😁

Been too busy making sawdust to read all the invaluable BS on the "other stuff" thread lately..... I missed the last 42 pages..... please advise if I need to go back and read something super important to a well balanced life.

Well I've been scrounging the biggest tree of my life worth over 6 cord and posting more pics than @turnkey4099 can download in a week.

Is he joking? Is he? Depends on whether you want to risk missing out I guess...

Congratulations Joe on the 40 years 👏

I was also celebrating 40 years of marriage last year but Cowgirl corrected me. "It only feels that long, dear"

I have fallen behind on the splitting and stacking of the Monstromint.

29th May 1.jpg

There is a lot of unsplittables in the 'to do' pile that are going to need the saw to sort out.

29th May 2.jpg

Most of the more splittable rounds I put up the top to go straight into the middle bay of the shed. I got some split and stacked today after work before rain stopped play.

Scrounge on

Too busy to scrounge but I did manage to get all this grass mowed and picked up to cover the garden over at the farm. That back field was 8 - 12 inches tall. The last one is the garden all mulched out.

Yesterday was a busy day. Accomplished a lot of things that were very overdue.

Here’s the completed pile of free scrounge from that guy’s woodshed who wanted hardwood. The next thing I need to do is sort this between under 18 inch and over 18 inch so I can have stuff that fits in my sauna stove squarely.
