1. Protect the crankshaft with tape

2. gently centre punch the metal part of the seal at 180
degrees apart

3. drive 2 drywall metal stud screws into the seal (not all
the way down.

4. grab the 2 screw heads with 2 pairs of pliers, and with
the palm of your hands resting on the saw housing, lift
up on the pliers.

I was able to pull the seals on my 036pro this way...worth a try.
