Been awhile since I refered to my notes and saws, but I have a 044 runner, I think is 10mm, and a 12mm with a scored piston/cyl that I need to clean up and swap.

I also have a chance at a 440, hard starter, but should be fine....

I was going to upgrade the 12mm to the 046 bore....

too many things going on right now.

I've got a parts saw that I'm.looking at. Serial number is 126461016 that would be 10mm wouldn't it? I need a 12mm.

This is prolly bragging but bought an 044 #x151751249 and an 024 at a garage sale, paid $175 for the pair. Dumped the gas cleaned the filter and cut up a 44" trunk gray elm, 4 cords of firewood. It ran flawlessly. A look in the exhaust shows some scuff on the cylinder but it majorly outcut my 361, which I recently sold to keep the 044,. With only a couple ounces of weight more, I thought it was a no brainer. The 024 needed a muffler repair and a new $$ air filter but is also running fine now. Lets me swap to the lighter saw for limbing.
Thanks for letting me in, I'm just a farmette owner but have gotten LOTS of valuable tips and info here, my goto place for equipment info. After years of cheap equipment I use a lot of stihl now carefully bought over the years off Craigslist. I have a great Stihl dealer nearby which makes it the only way to go.
