Just a hint of info about your saw.

Seen a 185 on flea bay for like $350

I went to the husky home page and looked under support, download manuals, etc. I had to enter chainsaw in the first attempt search link, then 185CD in the next search bar
and seen two different 185CD chainsaws and seen owners manuals and parts lists. one was like a 1977-01 and the other a 1976-02

Here is couple links to give you an idea of the owners manual and IPL downloads available. The owners manual has some good info about carb adj's, etc.
I seen a option available at the Chainsaw site to ASK A EXPERT.

I did not see anything about setting the magneto timing, but did see parts and part numbers.
Here is some of the links where I seen info.

I did not download the info, I selected to just read/view the info FIRST.

Thanks, I have both of those PDFs, they are very useful.

My saw is the earlier saw, it has no chainbrake, one reason I like to use it only on the mill, safer.

Cheers!
