Does anyone have one of those skid steer attachment log splitters that you operate from inside the cab. They are inverted and you grab the log with the splitter and conduct the splitting while in the comfort of the cab. Any feed back is appreciated! Makes models, ect.

I'm sure grandpatractor will chime in soon,
he has a huge homemade setup that looks like the cats meow.

I made one last year. It is great for quartering large wood but I would not consider it a substitute for a regular splitter. I acutally made mine out of a 30ton Harbor freight horizontal/vertical splitter. The I-beam section can be mounted on a skid steer quick tach plate I made or back on the original wheel setup with motor and pump. So I have the best of both worlds. Mine is mounted with the I-beam parallel to the skid steer axles, so I can drive into a piece of wood or I can roll the bucket cylinders and set it on top of the wood.
