i recently picked up what i believe to be a petrol/gas powered Skil circular saw (circa 60's-70's?) in a lot with some other saws i was interested in here in the u.k. i have no use for the circular saw but is it worth restoring ? its been standing years, possibly decades unused and does have singes of oxidization, i did fire it up briefly , but they appeared to be a little to much float in the flywheel main bearing? is this normal? i assume they must have a needle roller main bearing? it does have a really nice looking carbide tipped blade fitted to it. i will try and get some photos up later this week. i may even pass it on to someone who collects this type of thing if there's any interest.? i have never seen another over here in the u.k and assume they were more catered towards the USA/Canadian markets in a time when they was remote areas without mains power/ hurricane damage?
