Stihl 026 carb question

Hey everybody! Newbie here. This forum is addicting.I just got my new Walbro WT-194-1 carb for my 026. Isn't there supposed to be a gasket between the carb and the cylindar? The new carb didn't come with one and the old one I took off didn't have one. Please help!

Make sure the intake boot is clean and put the new 194 carb on :msp_wink:

Nope. It sits against the rubber ring of the snorkel that goes to the crank case.

No gasket between the carb and intake boot on these (this is not an 025). It should bolt right up to the boot, make sure it has the brass ring inside the boot (about the size of a dime). You have the right carb, now lets hear it run.
