Got it off Craigslist for 150$, scored cylinder, honed it out and put a new piston and rings in it. Got some aftermarket ms 261 parts to fix her up.
Need a fuel cap and then I can start it.

the 440 handle fit on with slight modification, and the wide clutch cover.

I've got a crankcase that's been sitting on my bench for almost 3 years now. Only saw that survived the fire. One of these days I should make a parts list. Not that I need a third 026... LOL
If you do hit me up, I have leftovers from many dozens of rebuilds and swap outs from porting jobs.

Looks good.
My BIL put a 3/4 wrapnon his 026 too

So did you hone all of the plating off the cylinder? The cylinder looks like shiny aluminum instead of nikasil. I can't see the color change near the ports either.

I didn’t show an after picture of the honing, I just ball honed it to get off the transferred aluminum from the melted piston

No, previous owner said it was just serviced and ran great,

coil wire was tapped up
Tank handle was broken
Piston and cylinder bad
bushing was destroyed
Carb had dirt in it

It was in fair shape but I rebuilt it all, case bearings and rod and seals were good

saved me some time,

geting a fuel cap today, should fire right up, it has 180 psi compression now
