Stihl 032av problem

Hi all l have an old stihl 032 av that l love dearly, it starts and runs well for about 20 minutes then bogs down with throttle and dies , it will start again but will not run when hot , does anyone have any idea what might be the problem,

If it’s ponts ignition I’d suggest condenser.

Can you check for resistance? You would need a multimeter.

It is losing compression as it heat cycles. Probably thru the crank seals, or maybe the impulse line. Worn out jug/rings will let excessive fuel mixture...a rich condition....to build. Drowns the plug. The hotter it gets, the less it seals.

It sounds like your coil is the least of your challenges at this point in time. If you have not already I would run a pressure test, seal off the carb port and the exhaust. My 032 had electrical issues, the coil. Good luck
