Nice Justin, I recently completed a full rebuild on one. They are a lovely saw!Hey guys,
Well I measured the piston and it is 48mm. The muffler is hinged with only 2 lower bolts and a cheese greater front as well. However I did not check the top of the cylinder, I will do that tomorrow.
So with everyone's help I think we have established that it I have a 034 Super. Now I am very happy. But I will get images tomorrow.
Justin
You are right, I stand corrected, I checked 3 this evening and no S , That is one of the problems of getting old The memory is not what it once was, and I fool with this stuff all the timeI can't recall my 034S's having that David. I thought that was an 024 thing.
Your 034S appears to have a K&S cylinder, do you know if your mate's 034S has a K&S or Mahle cylinder?.....There could be lots of reasons for the different carbs. Why would my 034 Super have a Zama and my mates a Tilloston ?

Attached is a photo from my mate 034 Super. His cylinder looks darker.I’ve never seen a Mahle 034S jug on any production saw. I do have an NOS one in a box.
It has 036 ports with a short second exhaust fin. I believe it to be a transition jug before the 036 and never used on a production saw.
By “036 ports” I mean an arched exhaust roof and a teardrop intake which is like the 036 and nothing like the KS 034S jug.
The search function here really sucks, to the point of being nearly uselessThanks. I tried search 3 ways, it said oops no go.
Worked good last year lol.
Thanks again.
