Can someone tell me if my 044 is a 10mm or 12mm model and also what year it was manufactured?

What Stihlalltheway said, assuming it's not a Frankensaw. Changeover happened at SN 129583701.

would this use the 9640 003 1320 seal or the 9640 003 1972

1320 is the FW side seal, 1972 is for PTO side.

Looks like a10 mm. According to post #3, the serial # before 129583701 were 10mm.

9640 003 1972 and 9640 951 1972 are two shown on ipl for pto and you are saying "1972"
