Hi all , will rebuild this 066 #139227079 I saved long time ago from trash but I would apreciate some advices , I found some good threads but unfortunatly without pictures about diferences about flat top or red sight .
For me it could be a 2000 model , have the heavier crank (poly flywheel, 10mm nut) , it has a wj65 , cylinder and top cover(flat top I think) with decomp but seems to have older fuel tank (air filter cover in magnesium and old style tank vent)
What did they called "led" for the ignition ?

No decomp on the flat tops. I have a ‘92 west coast, “red eye”, oe dual port muffler. (Sig pic)
let me know if you need picks.
it looks like you have several aftermarket parts mixed with OE stuff.

l have a late 066 flat top decomp
Has poly wheel but small case
According to JJ it was a small run between the 066 and 660
@Jacob J.

Yeah, there was a short-case flattop poly flywheel model between the metal flywheel 066 and the bubble-top poly flywheel 066.

The short-case poly flywheel saws should have a compression release like Chris's saw @L34

Those cylinders have good numbers in them and make a great runner.

@Massey - it looks like you have one. I don't know if they came with the low-profile air filter system in Europe at that time,
but it's a possibility. The models specc'ed for Europe were always a little different.

Nice saw and clean too! Very similar to my 138xxxx s/n 066 flat top decomp plastic badge on front right except not hd filter, agree should be a runner!

Thank fellas for good replies ! Unfortunatly cylinder is shot but I have a new hiway with pop up piston to put on , this poor saw have been abused with dull chain it's sure .
I checked availability of carb holder and hd filter cover and mount for those older 066 and it's still available . Will put some pics and vid when finished .

Honestly id really try and clean up that old cylinder or at least find a good used OEM but could also make sure everything else checks out (bearings, seals, carb rebuild, vac/pressure test-to determine what was the cause of the scoring) and runs fine with your aftermarket and then keep an eye out for an OEM setup..

I'll try to clean the oem cylinder but I think plating is a bit gone, I know oem is always better than any aftermarket cylinder you can get ... Gonna replace bearing etc
