Stihl 261 shuts off periodically

The dealer thought it was the kill switch so they fiddled with it but to no avail. I checked the kill ground and there's a space inbetween it. Could it be arcing to shut off or is the kill switch a red herring?

Is it an mtronic? Either way, running it without the kill wire connected would confirm or deny.
