i was at the dealer today. the 461 was 1100$. the 661 was 1300$. interesting the price was so close.

I have them here at $941 for the 461 w/ 20
$1200 for 661 w/ 20

But can get about $100 discount at least with cash

I got lucky and paid 1170.xx out the door for my 661 with a 36" bar. Dealer did an oopsie and I said nothing.

FWIW, I paid $840 (shipping included), for a nearly new 461 with a 32 inch B&C off someone on this site.

Did you happen to see my posts in regards to buying a chainsaw with a newly acquired credit card that has cash back incentives?

You could save a couple hundred dollars.

Just a day or two ago, I received another offer from American Express. Their offer was to make a purchase of $1000.00 or more within 30 days of receiving your card and you would get $250.00 cash back or an account credit.

That's the same offer I took them up on back in Nov. of 2015, when I bought my MS-461R.
