stihl 660?

anyone have a ms 660 with a 32 bar?? i need a big saw and saw this 4 sale localy just wondering what your thoughts were!

Lots of 066/660's on the milling forum. 36" on mine. Some people run a 42".

I run an older stihl 064 with a 42in bar(can only mill 36-38) but it pulls that great. Would love to update to a newer 660 though. waylon

I'm running an 066 with 32'' bar right now. Plenty of saw and easy to carry. If you don't know saws I'd recommend taking someone with you who does to check it out good(assuming you're looking at a used saw). Use quality oil and learn to tune carb properly and you should have a lot of fun. Plenty of threads/info here on what you need and how to do it right-good luck!

I thought 066's pushed 6.5-7HP? That's where my 395XP is. Even my 80cc 181SE made 5HP stock.

thats what they said when i ordered it and the new one is alot bigger than the origanal so idk i went by what they said it may be bigger than that its the big bore kits so

Are you sure they didn't say 5 kW for the metric measurement? That sounds a bit more reasonable, though I don't remember exactly what the conversion rate is.
