Lol those PoulansI remember those camo Wild Things. Had several customers bring them in, telling me that they had found it in the woods!!!
I love using the 261 , just a well balanced an nimble saw with good power .Nice pair. I have the 261/462 combo also.
I just really like camo , plus I’m not worried of losing the saw . I’m a one man show For just fire wood an working with 5 acres out back . But yes I understand the bright color thing an not to worried bout losing my saw .Looks like a real nice paint job. Why anyone would want to camo their saw I can’t figure. They are usually bright colors like orange, white, yellow, and red so you can easily find them in the underbrush.
o Only down fall is that it’s messy , not easy but some has to set the bar high !Hunting deer with a chainsaw......
Now that takes a certain amount of skill!!
View attachment 758208 View attachment 758209 had some free time so decided to personalize the saws a bit . I know they just get beat on an I did 4 coats of flat clear coat . Have done many painting projects like this with things that are subject to abuse an all have held up terrific so figured why the hell not !
Just used some rustolium brand spray paint , 4 coats of flat clear coat an some ends off the bushes out front for templates .That looks refreshing, so you use airbrush and templates or what?
Haha ya no bar . But ya who knows . Trend or no trend I like it an the camo makes it cut faster lolLooks great if you did the white and bar in camo you wouldn’t find the saw in the brush. Lol I still think its neat looking. This could start a trend mossy oak stickem camo for saws. For worn plastics camo it.
Thanks , I like it , it’s different. Would be good idea like you said even to clean up worn out covers . Everything else sells on this planet why not this lol .I still think it’s cool but I’m surprised that mossy oak and Stihl haven done this yet?
Funny, I moved from north jersey to southern Connecticut city in the 60’s. I moved to the more rural area about 13 years ago. I wore camo to the local store to pick up a coffee and a snack. The state workers were sitting there on a break. One said Hicks when I walked by. The joke is on him I’m just a guy frm Jersey/city. This proves we can adapt and blend in anywhere. It was cold out and I put on my insulated camo shirt.
