Stihl MS200T

[FarleyEquipment]

Just picked this saw up yesterday. I’ve never seen a 200T with the screw on caps instead of the flippy caps. Can anyone tell me if it’s legit or someone rebadged a different saw. Looks like the serial number is 14016007.

Methinks you got an 020T with a 200T recoil or recoil badge.

The 020T was excellent. Aside from the caps, I’m not sure if there’s differences between the 020 and the 200.

There is a difference in the cylinders,you have to take it apart to see.

020T by the looks with a replacement recoil cover- as Bango mentioned above.
Any remains or clue there was once an 020T decal on the air box cover?

I’m 95% sure (squinting back through the mists of time) I’ve bought 200’s new with pre-flippy caps. If I had to call it, I’d say legit...but the wolf will know for sure.
IMO those caps are better as long as they don’t get over tightened.

Thanks for the input everyone. The previous owner put some wrap on the air filter cover, but it definitely looks like there used to be a badge on it, makes me lean toward it being an 020T like many of you have mentioned.

It is an 020T if the oil cap is a screw cap .What did you pay before you go off on them?

$350, came with an extra chain since the one on it needs sharpened.

Runs like a top, starts first pull. I’m happy with it, just wanted some clarification on what exactly it was. The 200T and 020T are pretty much the same saw aren’t they?

Cylinder porting is different at the transfer ports. No big difference the 200T has a very slight edge.
