I believe G is heated handles. I don't need them here. Adds a little extra weight also.
Is there any other dealers around you? You need to go somewhere and handle
the different models and buy the one that feels right to you.

Lotsa good advice on brands. My choice for 50cc range is the Makita/Dolmar510; I am continually amazed by this saw.

If you are looking for an all around saw, and the difference in price is only $70 I would choose the 357xp. I no longer have one, because I opted for the 346/372 combo after using the 357 in a bunch of maple in the 30+ inch range. The 357 is heavier for sure, but it handles great and has that snappy throttle response that everyone loves in the 346. In larger wood, or when noodling the 357 is still noticeably stronger than the 346. Decisions, decisions

Lol, my 361 will do to your 357, what your 346 will do to my 260.
OP: If you're deciding between those two, 361 is a no brainer. From a guy who owns a 361 and has also ran a 357 quite a bit.
The 60cc class has been the weak spot in the Husky line-up since the 262xp disappeared - but that probably will change pretty soon, when the 560xp/562xp comes out!

the closest to 60 pro is 357 (56,5cc);
lower ranked are 460 and 359.

Right you are, Tim. If it weren't for the weight they would be hard to tell
apart. That and the extra grunt from the 357.
Like I said, I really like my 357 but at the end of the day my back likes the
346 much better. And if the majority of your wood is under 20" the 346 is all ya need.
The 346/372 combo will beat any 60cc saw out there, for sure!!!

The 357 is going to be much better than a 460 and a little better than a 359.
Might want to wait for the new 560xp, it'll be out soon. I'm sure interested.

The 362xp was an attempt to replace the 262xp with a saw based on the 371xp, but it was heavier and bulkier, and had less power than the 262xp - so that one failed as well (even though it is a very good saw)!
I am sure the MS362 also is a very good saw - just not in the top League of the 60cc class, that still consist of the 262xp and the Euro MS361, and nothing else!
Also, I am pretty sure that the 560xp/562xp will change that picture!

I think I have found the answer to that old question: Stihl.
I think that the reason is different for everybody;
my choice is not based on looks,or quality; both look and feel good and are great saws.
however Husky runs at higher rpm with a different sound. Stihl, draws it`s power from compression outputing an altogheter different sound.
in the end, this is my criteria. sound.
now it would probably be an 362 if I can`t find an 361 in the us.
if any of you live in AZ, and knows a good dealer, let me know.

Why is this a big deal? Cant it be modded? My echo had a cat in the muffler to it took 5 mins to drill out.
