I inherited an FS85 that would NOT start, only sputter and die. The spark plug was ok but the carb and linkages were filthy, so I brushed away some crud and let fly with the WD-40 and an air hose. After that it started on the first pull and ran fine.
Question: What happened? I didn't really do anything except give the carb area a good external cleaning. The throttle cable seemed to work ok before the WD-40 blast, though it was crisper once clean.
All repairs should be so easy.
