Testing 020T Ignition Module With Ohmmeter

Hi, I can't get a spark on this saw. I've followed the service manual, and I think it has a bad ignition module. I have the module removed from the saw. With it removed I'm getting a positive connection between the module ignition lead and the bracket where it attaches to the saw, also getting a positive connection between where the kill wire attaches to the module and the module bracket(bracket where module attaches to saw) Should I be getting a connection here? Does this indicate the module is bad? Thanks.

test the coil as per the manual, spark or no spark, remove ground wire spark or no spark, when they do fail its a go or no go situation
