Just bought a case to split with a friend. That's the oil I've been using. I've had no issue with it or the plazzebo.
This stuff is terrific, you must try!

That would be an interesting test. Have someone run a saw twice, with 2 different brands of mix {same fuel}, and see if he could tell which is which.

IIRC some time ago Dolmar oil was blended by ELF Maybe the contract has run it's course or Makita deal with a different blender

Of course Plazzebo is not listed on the label.

Or $1.75 a bottle. I have a bottle from the dealer in my garage with a sticker that says $4.99 on it
Mine was $36 for 24 bottles or $1.50 each.

I was late to the dance. Still not complaining. My Dad got some, I got some, my buddy got some. At the end of the day I spent $14 for oil to make 40 gallons of mix. I'm just a firewood hack with small saws, so it will take many years to burn up all of that fuel.

I was just trying to run with the joke that rockjock started.
According to the previous link I posted Spectrum blends the oil for Dolmar/Makita.
Buying a high quality oil at closeouts prices is not penny pinching. Makita is having a fire sale on the Dolmar branded oil to clear it out of the marketplace as they have closed down the Dolmar brand. I have no doubt that the Makita branded oil is the same as that in the Dolmar marked bottles.

As stated it was some time ago It seems that European saw manufacturers tend toward Euro Oil Blenders. When Makita snuffled up Dolmar & likely the contract expired perhaps Makita already had deals going on with Spectrum There are a lot of corporate back scratching going on. If the end product is good & the price is right it really matters not to the end user who does the blending. It's just I've continued my interest in who "brews" what since my 2smoke bike road racing days.
