UNI Foam Filter Material - Best Glue?

I bought a sheet of Uni green (fine, 65 ppi) air filter material to use in fabricating filters for obsolete engines. In checking the archives a poster used hot glue to join edges together. Has anyone had experience with this or another adhesive? For instance, joining two ends of a strip to make a circle?

Iv'e had success with double sided adhesive carpet tape. Evostick flex adhesive works good on the type of foam it doesn't destroy test on a small scrap piece first the adhesive backed Velcro also works OK

Contact cement. Like for Formica or rubber roofing membrane.

Thanks for the input. I have some 3M 90 high strength spray adhesive, which is a type of contact cement. I'll start with that and see how it goes.

Clear RTV silicone works as well.

I used 3M Super Weatherstrip glue, aka Yellow Peril or gorilla snot. Make sure to work it into the foam a good ways.
