Hi.

I am using my older style Stihl 066 with my Logosol M8 sawmill. That means that I have my saw tilted to the side all the time. Sometimes it is leaking fuel from the air box. I assume that it is the vent that is leaking when the tank is full.

I looked at the IPL and found two different style tank vents but none are like mine. I just have a filter inside a white cap. It will certainly not hold pressure (tested) nor vaccum (good).

Have any of you successfully upgraded to a newer style tank vent that won't leak or what do you suggest?

Here is what it looks like.

Yeah, but you can see what you have, is your flapper valve intact?
Yes, the upside-down umbrella valve looks and feels just fine.

I just tried to hold the saw upside down and I can now confirm that it is leaking from the vent. Not a lot though.
