What did you do this weekend?

I repaired a 346 that had gasket sealant put on the carb flange partially blocking the impulse signal.

I also stripped a 346 to install a piston and do a MM. I found the bearings were shot and the cylinder is scored...he's getting an OE.

I also worked up four NE's. One is will be traded for a collector saw and the other one has already been paid for. I ran out of time tonight to run them. They should be fine as they all have new seals, carb kits, fuel lines and filter, and new pistons.

I ported my 2153. It's now sporting 205 PSI compression and turning >15K RPMs. It's yet to ever see wood though. I have none here right now.

Bucked firewood mostly, tuned the 090 and enjoyed a day off today. Back to it tomorrow, and with this warm winter garbage its been raining instead of snow, so it'll more then likely be a miserably cold morning tomorrow in the woods, running out of time to fill 6 cord permits.


LARGE interest in my cut rates has kept me VERY busy, its getting ridiculous.

I also spent several hours grinding down the rivets, polishing them, and then spinning all the pieces back together. It's almost ready for filing.

I got some serious run time on my 346 and 372 on Saturday. I had a great time cutting; mostly hickory, maple and ironwood. I get to play and the landowner (a relative) burns the wood

Today I did a clean up and chain adjuster puncture fix on the landowner's saw for him among other non-saw things. I actually really like this little saw. Man was it nasty.

I was hunting this weekend. Seen a huge buck. Went to ask the landowner if I could shoot him. He said "go get em buddy". Went straight back there and he was nowhere to be found. :msp_mad: This badboy had G2s that looked to be 13-14" tall. Spread may have only been about 16-17" but those antlers were TALL! and thick. I seem them glowing in the sunlight and bout sheit myself.

The landowner said guys have been seeing that deer there. He don't hunt and said if I see him again to have at him. Hopefully he'll pop back up but he's a slick one.

I did a muffler mod for a guy today and then finally got to fix my rebuilt Echo CS-900 to stop it from smoking like a freight train. I put new O rings on the oiler and that put a fix to it. It runs very well now.

Also got to watch Chris blast up some parts for a Pioneer restore and got to play with his Pioneer 850 a bit.

I pulled out the 346 and started clearing a fence line so I can put up a goat cage. That'll be a nice little winter project for everyone

Saturday morning I went with my 82 yearold neighbor Maynard to his shop and helped him put up some shelving and organize his woodworking tools. After that I stopped by one of my clients and broke out the bg 86 and blew the leaves off the property, loaded them in my pickup and made a stop by the transfer station on my way home. Stopped and picked up a couple monster burgers and fries for my wife and I for lunch. Left the house about 1:30 that afternoon on a firewood run. Drove 16 miles and could not make it up the mountain to my wood cutting spot, about 2" of slushy icey stuff on the forest road and I had driven my 2wd toyota. Backed near 1/2 mile down the road before I could turn around. Went to another cutting spot and finished bucking a nice larch tree someone had cut about 2 months ago and I have been picking on it since. Rain set in so I loaded what I had cut and went back home. Messed around in the yard doing chores and unloading my truck.

Today I spent most of crawling around in my attic type area working on installing a new fan/light for the bathroom, nightmarish work. I have a minimally sloped roof so crawling is an overstatement, more like inching around through 8" of blown in cellulose insulation. I now have the fixture installed and the wiring run for it, the hardest parts for sure. Next is installing ductwork, cutting the hole through the roof for the vent jack and hooking up the wiring. Now I am relaxing, reading and posting here on AS and a couple other forums as well as watching the Ravens pound on the Steelers and enjoying a nice cold Ninkasi Imperial Stout.

I went up into Potter County, PA to visit the folks and tried to take a day off from saws......Couldnt do it. CAD is to deep, ended up working on my pops husky 66 and found a new project on CL that I picked up on the way back home. LOL, my girlfriend thinks I have lost it:msp_confused:

I have a neighbor who built one of those. Says it makes them easier to catch when he's feeling amorous.

Cut wood with my crew (me, my wife, my son (12), daughter (9), and other daughter (5)) today. My wife and son split over 3 cords today and we only worked about 5.5 hours.
