One saw plan = 60CC. MS362 Stihl or Husky 555 or 562xp.

Two saw plan, 50cc and 70cc or 80-90cc. You'll do the bulk of the work with the 50cc, but the big saws are nice for bucking and stumping.

stay away from the big iron ya won't need it and well when ya get to that size of saw it for big sticks ......not for cutting faster .........cc not mean more speed

I would agree, if the new 50's weren't so powerful. The 60cc class has kind of become the 3/4 tons of saws. If a 1/2 ton won't giterdun, might as well get a 1 ton. And if a 50 cc won't cut it, might as well jump up to a 70. For what he's doing, I think a 261 with a 16" and a 20" back up will do just fine.
