wood drying

If you want your wood to dry faster:

1) Stack one rick wide/ ideally split it before stacking,
2) Cut ends all facing out,
3) Covered,
4) Off the ground,
5) Where the sun and in lower humidity areas also where the prevailing winds have access.

***************

Or just do what you normally do in the spring and let the summer take care of the wood moisture.

Instead of a tarp, has anyone tried housewrap to allow the condensation to escape? Currently covering pile with plastic sheeting just on the top but plastic doesn't seem to hope up well in the cold. Thought the house wrap would last longer.
