Just picked up a few of these and considering getting more. The bark is distinctive so I am guessing it should be easy for those who have ID it before.

Thanks. I am use to seeing my birch be white. It makes sense that there are more than one variety. I live in MA and found it near a swamp.

Any chance you have a leaf for positive ID? White (paper) birch can range from the traditional white to dirty grey/brown but very possibly one of the others where you are at.

They have mostly fallen but I will see if I can find one from one that is still alive.
