working on husqvarna 55 saws

i was reading here that a closed port cylinder has to have a windowed piston but i just took this one apart and it's closed port with no windows. the cylinder is a 44zn15 with the ++++ on the side. also i cant find parts listing for the model and year on the tags. all the parts places have something like 55 (2000-05)

can someone help decipher the id tags???? sorry have no clue why pic uploaded upside down.

Saw on left is 1999, saw on right is 2001. Possible somebody replaced a piston in the closed port cylinder and used the wrong one, piston is NLA from husky for the cylinder. Lil red barn is the only AM source im aware for a piston for that saw, should be 45mm.

Also solid piston in a side fed closed port wont run very well im guessin, i would replace that while you have it alart. Also carb bulkhead and pulse grommet and intake boot.

I recently rebuilt a CP 55 for a friend with Lil Red Barn windowed piston. Quality seemed good. Time will tell if it lasts for the long haul but based on my initial impression of it I would not hesitate to use one for myself if I had the need.
