I have just ordered up a standard (0.5mm) jet from the 017 carb, part number: 1129 121 5600

So if I went with a 7/16" hole and use dteh stock carb, what size jet will I then need and part numbers? Thanks

did they weld up the original outlet? My 361 mod is just 3 x 8mm holes to front. Contemplating welding them up and going for similar set up but cannot justify time or expense. Think i'll wait till the muffler needs replacing!

I have done my muffler mod, removed the limiters, fitted the 8T sprocket, 15" bar and RSC chain, new fuel filter. Silly question but how do you start these? It has a decompression valve, never had one of these before? EDIT: Found here...

As I don't have access to a welder but do have access to a drill and a dremel, what is the best method for muffler modding? Can I just drill say 5 x 6mm diameter holes along the side?

Fuel pick up hose, impulse hose and carb rebuild should see you right. I had the same issue on my 039

My 039 wont shut off unless I pull the plug boot. Something wrong with switch? How does it work? metal to metal should cut it out?

This 3 hole method looks plain and simple Could I opt for say 10 smaller holes on the side instead? Save welding etc.

Are you saying to keep the bar and chain and just sell power unit only? What type of tyre shine do you use? Worth adding extra numbers to title? Eg. 'MS290 not 029 039 MS390' etc?

Well I went and bought the MS361C Can anyone advise if the 15" bar and chain I have on my 039 will fit?
