If ya thought yer old one was in good enuff shape to seal with some goop, it oughta be in good enuff shape to make a template for a new one. Or use Tim's approach and just locate the butt joint at the least vulnerable spot in the assembly, then seal.

Check out the Fel-Pro stuff. Various thicknesses available. A roll is around 13 bux, but will last ya a lifetime....even if ya end up getting into the Macs and hafta start sealin' all those 10 series tanks!

Thank Poge!

You may be right that they aren't available. Been awhile since I bought one. Like 5 years ago apparently. :(

They are just cork material, so should be able to make one. If you are artistic and handy, unlike me.

Gregg,
Could have sworn I just bought some. Maybe a month ago.

I did wear padded gloves and have some good anti vibration gloves from Galeton which they don't make anymore.

I have to be careful because I have white finger and don't want it to get any worse. I generally means that my blood vessels in my hands are damaged and my hands get cold very easily. If they do, they look exactly like the hands of a dead person.
I don't find any of my other rigid mount saws bother if I wear padded gloves.

Fantastic little saw though. I can't believe how much I cut on less than a tank of fuel.
