creosote remover/destroyer

I sprinkel coppersulfate on hot coals & close the dampers for about 1/2 hour, this will reduce the creosote to ash form and cause it to release from chimney surfaces.

my buddy told me his dad has always used potato peelings. never tried it so i cant comment if it works.
