finally our last benchmark saw Echo CS-400. it was clearly out of it element in bigger wood. i do think it would make a fine homeowner saw for light cleanup.

even the skilled hands of 67 cant make up for this saws lack of performance.

went to a friends today and was usin his computer with roadrunner. I watched wanab's videos and all i can say is wow. I like comparing the videos of different saws espically with a stock saw video to compare to yalls ported saws. The difference is amazing. I would just like to thank yall again for lettin me run your saws. Lookin forward to portin a few of our collection

Well I got the memory card out of Amy's camera today, between her pics and the GTG pics, the card was full!!LOL

I'm missing some pics due to that but at least got the group pic(s)

Group pic with Amy looking off in the distance, we were trying to set the camera to a 10 second delay so I could get in....

Here is a pic off 220, beautiful land in Asheboro, rolling hills, just plain awesome. You really have to be there in person to take it all in.

Looking good guys. If you want another GTG fix, next weekend in Ohio.:greenchainsaw::greenchainsaw::greenchainsaw:

I'd like to make it to one of the Ohio GTG's. Wanted to come to the one in January but had planned another trip at the same time. Oh well... Ya'll prob'ly have better wood cuttin' weather. Was a bit on the warm side here Saturday. In the 80's. Hope ya'll enjoy it as much as we did here. :)

this is where it starts to get interesting. we have here a very remarkable Stihl 028 belonging to smiling possum. this is clearley the fastest 028 woodsaw i have even seen. so fast that it cut the exact same speed as a saw 30 years newer and over 10cc larger than itself, the holy grail of saws, $tihl's very own 361.

Sounds like yall had a great time. Sorry I missed this one  but priorities over ruled (not a honey do list either). Looking forward to the next one.

ditto...was a nice weekend for a road trip, but got a lot done at work...next time!

Sorry I couldn't make it

Sorry that I couldn't make it this past Saturday. Planning on coming to the one in the Fall if there is one. My uncle, mom, step-dad, girlfriend, brother, and I split and hauled 11 large trailer loads of wood this weekend for my grandmother. I think that I figured it somewhere closed to 8 cords. Pretty sore now, but grandma want need anymore wood for a while now. I'm guessing that she goes through about 12 to 13 chords a year. That's her only source of heat. I didn't see that many old saws there. I liked seeing the videos. Post more please.

Took $35 in fuel for me.

Hey Joe, find a 20"-25" bar for that 084 and try a 9 pin rim, that could be a fun GTG saw.:chainsaw:

took once to fill up in havelock that was 40.00 since i was almost on E then once in kinston that was 12.00 then once in asheboro that was 20.00 then again at the same place i was at in kinston another 20 so that was 92.00 spent in one day on fuel lol

but i made it back

wanab, you didnt happen to get a video of dads 29S did you?
he was just wonderin if it was on here too
thanks, zachary

glad everybody made it home

i sure did!

:chainsaw:

might be a bit before i get all the vids up.

this saw is one that impressed me. it cuts fast and is very torquey. seems like it would have no trouble pulling a long bar.

JT78 built this sweet Husky 359 saw and it runs at conservative RPM out of the cut.

it kept pace with a very hot 361 woodsaw that was reqested to be built as fast as possible.

GJ JT78!

this Stihl 084 owned by smiling possum seemed to run on the rich side but with that long bar that is the way i would run it.
