Is it possible you shipped the saw to Florida and then it was sent to the Dominican? I don't see why it would come back to you. If the saw does come back to you, I'm sure the buyer will get his money back.

Brad, if it was signed for how could shipper be holding for chemical claim? If gas and oil was found, which i know wasn't there wouldn't be a signature. Can you verify his claim as the saw being returned to you? If it is being returned i would be very skeptical. I have heard alot of stories about people buying good saws on ebay and swapping out the good parts with there bad parts and then claim its junk and want a refund. I will never sell a saw on ebay, not worth the bovine scatology. Let us know how this goes.

Are you suggesting that you don't think I'll even see the saw again, that he's simply hoping for a quick refund?

There have been cases on ebay where money was refunded without the merchandise being returned. If I were you I would not issue a refund until I had the saw back. You could email the buyer and find out what's going on.

A lot of people have replied, But I've seen this happen, And like many, Your best bet is to find out who signed for it, and at what address. If it WAS the name and address you sent it too, just say that's where it went. I wouldn't spend much time fighting with that a-hole.

Just my .02 cents. Good luck.

The address is already verified. The PayPal address matches the UPS delivery confirmation.

Ewwwww....That smells bad!!! I would reply to him asking how the saw could be on it's way back to you when it has already been successfully delivered to his "confirmed" address??.....See what he has to say.

Unfortunately if he squeaks, paypal will hand him his money back no questions asked and you'll be trying to get it through their thick skulls at paypal, that it was successfully delivered with a confirmation......I've been there done that....It was a huge hassle, but I won in the end once I proved that the item was delivered.

I've already replied to his email making the facts very clear. I made him aware that I have prove of delivery 3 weeks ago, that I followed all eBay and PayPal Seller Protection policies, and have no intentions of refunding his money. At this point, this is his saw. He owns it, not me. I have not gotten any replies.

Did you get this message through ebay or just an email to your address?
I have gotten emails saying I won something and to pay and this and that but when I go to ebay its not in my account. If its not in your account its a scam. Also the letter is to vague to be real. He would have said UPS and not carrier.

Oh! Well you still did the right thing to tell him to pound sand. I once sold someone from another country something but they had a US address and the person at the US address sent the product to them outside the country. I think thats what happened here but the idiot middleman fueled the saw up and then sent it to this bozo. Now hes trying to hose you on the deal. Your covered since you have proof of delivery to his confirmed address.

I sure hope you see your saw again or ebay helps you out.

It may very well be the carrier. Not to long ago we ordered some ak-47 kits, they didn't show after four weeks, called the supplier to find out why and they had a signed ups delivery confirmation that we had received the kits. It took a week and a jillion phone calls and hell raising to find out the normal ups driver took a day off and a sub delivered them, to a trailer house almost a mile west of my residence. The signature was illegible.
Needless to say the meth heads who lived there said they threw away the kits as they didn't know who I was or what the kits were. After 21/2 months we,(really the sender) got ups to settle with them and replaced the kits.

At first the supplier thought we were ripping them off. All the drivers care about is getting the stuff off their truck.

Best of luck in a satisfactory resolution.

If UPS shows delivery and it's signed I wouldn't worry anymore about it. You don't have to do any more unless PayPal or Ebay contacts you, then you can explain it to them. The best news now is no news.

Yeah, don't sweat it Brad. The important contradiction here is that the package cannot be delivered and signed for, and being undeliverable/returned to you at the same time. It's either one or the other.

Further, if some goof at the FL address screwed up re-shipping it out of the country, that has nothing to do with you.

And if it's being returned, where is it?

The thing I know with dealing with fed ex, ups, ect. If it got held up do to "haz-mat" it DEFINATLY wont be returned to you. You WOULD be notified by the carrier by usually a lawyer especially if the way they found out that your package was hazardous was by a inspection at a scale or random roadside you would have the feds involved. You could petition your item back but it would be painful.

This guy sounds BS to me especially if you havent heard anything

My UPS guy will be stopping by in a few minutes, I'll ask him what's the procedure if in fact a item is claimed as dangerous and run this scenario past him.
