I built a house in Crossville a few years ago. From what I saw, I wouldn't wanna road too many pieces of equipment very far. Lanes about 8' wide and a 6' ditch right next to it. Is your hay ground very far away?

No, all the land we work is right near us.

Funny you should ask........

I didn't have a mower at all, and was having a friend cut for me. I found a Ford 501 pitman type sickle that needed some work, but was really still looking for something better. Today that something better showed up. I found a New Holland 451 belt driven sickle that is in great shape. I just got back from getting it, and testing it on my Massey. It's a nice mower.
