3800 is thick ring, 3700 is thin ring. Folks say 3700 is slightly stronger. Both are rated around 61cc

I'm always learning, it's a thick power sharp. Didn't know that was the difference, always thought poulan version was 3800

You can get a poulan in 3700 and 3800 also, like @Acornhill said the thin rings may push alittle harder, but i feel the thick rings retain the ring tension longer. I know ive seen it first hand in the automotive industry
 
Does anyone know if the 3400 was ever available in thin ring setup? ive never seen but thick ones

thats mine and my buddy's saw, he has a 3.4 thin ring, not powersharp

Probably, I just didn't know if it would mess with the now set motoseal betweeen case and seal. I will look at it in the morning, thanks. Hard to do with a washer, since the seal is below the case.
