I don't wanna call the 268 a build because I didn't do any porting, just stripped down to case, cleaned and replaced seals & fuel lines, new meteor piston from Baileys, saved the cylinder, rebuilt carb, antivibe elements OK, replaced starter cord, then reassembled & tuned ran 4 heat cycles then ran with 24" hardnose off the partner w/round tooth semi-chisel of unknown mfg fresh off the grinder.

cont

just wanted to thank ALL AS members for creating a GREAT site!!!!!, otherwise I would prolly just have the 350 TSC saw that I started with in spring of 08 to cut firewood and still be paying someone else to sharpen chain, BUT BEWARE ALL LURKERS, as you can see from my sig this is also how CAD works:msp_laugh:, you just want to see haw to properly maintain your saw then BAM!:msp_scared:. your dumpster divin @ the scrapyard lookin for parts saws:buttkick:

bought as a parts saw, choke side carb bolt slid out when I held the saw vertical and the other one was only in a couple of threads....must have really screamed before it seized....tag on the saw said"was running fine":msp_laugh:

How do you do that!!???? could one of you computer experts send me a tutorial on here so I can do that, it is greatly appreciated an makes the thread much better when you dont hane to clickety clickety click click!

I haven't mastered it yet with this new site. The older one was easier.

All I did with yours was right click on your pic link and select "copy link location" and then in the new post window, click on the insert image button, its the button in between the envelope and film strip, then a windown pops up then right click in that window and paste the link.

I did a big tutorial with the old site, but now that means JACK with this new site.

Let me know if that doesn't help you. Would be easier to actually talk you through it.

got an 09 w/limited coil, still under factory warranty, have an older 372 BB kit that may get installed someday, but seems they dont impress until they have been massaged and I haven't made that jump in the CAD progression yet..but:rockn:

Ya, the BB kits actually run nice stock, but definitely run better with some work.

Porting really wakes up stock 372's as well.
