    491s is identical

    Husqvarna 550xp vs echo cs490

550xp is definitely the better saw but as mentioned it's way more saw than you need. I would actually encourage you to look at either a cs-400 or 450p. With a little tuning either would walk away from the 490 in performance. Based on customer review and my own experience I just don't have that...

Is there a better $400 59cc saw than an Echo CS-590?

All Echo bars with replaceable tips are oregon powermatch bars. The 590s come standard with either an 18 or 20 inch pro lite. A 24 inch bar is asking a little much of a 590. It will do it but not with much authority.

And a lot of us that are answering questions on here are dealers. Hmmmmm...........Weeeiiird

New ms250 vs echo cs490 vs stihl 026

Well I hope ebay has a good service department to take care of you after the sale. I just don't get it. So few people anymore care about supporting dealers and yet they complain about dealers and wonder why the dealer isn't there to support them!

New ms250 vs echo cs490 vs stihl 026

If you want to pay for a name buy one of the Stihls. If you want the best product for the money then buy a 490.

    CS-361p's Have Arrived!

I assume it's the same short block however I don't have an ipl yet. Air intake seems less restrictive and not sure if carb/ignition is the same or not. I'll say it again it seemed very quick. More so than a 355.

    CS-361p's Have Arrived!

It felt much quicker revving than a 370 or 352 to me but I would have to spend a little more trigger time to decide if it were $200 better.

    CS-361p's Have Arrived!

It is plastic and a clamshell which surprised me but we all know how well Echo clamshells hold up!

How do they compare - 555 versus 620p?

The 620 will outrun a 555 pretty handily. I've run them right next to each other. Haven't tried one with an 8 pin but im certain it would handle it no problem with only a 16in bar.

    CS-361p's Have Arrived!

Cheaper than you'll find any NOS MS200 rear handles for. But yes at $400 retail they are a pricey little bugger!

    CS-361p's Have Arrived!

361p's are in after a LONG wait! Put one together quick this morning. Fired it up and did a little trimming out behind the shop. Super smooth and quick reving saw! And lightweight would be a huge understatement! I think these are going to do very well!

    Dolmar 421 or Echo 400?

CS-400 is lighter, nimbler and more compact. It will be just as fast as the 421 but lacks the torque. CS-450p would be a more direct comparison.

Also a husky dealer. Just stating facts.

    80cc Saw

I believe that it is a torque monster. If you know how to sharpen a chain and keep the rakers low there's nothing in its class that will out cut it. Maybe you should try running one

    '15 Echo CS620PW Information

Yes it's very valuable input when it's coming from somebody who's never even run an Echo. I, however have run both saws. The 562/560 is SLIGHLY lighter and faster. 620 has more torque hence the reason it pulls that big bar so well.:)
