Want to Trade 44mm piston and ring for husky

Well I've got 3 of these 350s, and one has the 44mm flat top piston, the other two have 45mm dished pistons. The 44mm piston is bad, but I hope to save the cylinder (like Mastermind shows in his Youtube videos) so I'm pretty sure I could use that. What would you want for it? Scott in Penfield NY

Want to Trade 44mm piston and ring for husky

I've got a 350 non-EPA with a toasted piston, I believe that's a 44mm, correct? So I think it would work for me. It's an open port saw, if that makes a difference. Scott in Penfield NY

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Here are the owners manual and a parts list. I've not seen a service manual for these like I've seen for Husqvarnas and Stihls. Scott in Penfield NY

Here's the owner's manual for that saw, and I see the vent in the parts list, but I can't tell where it goes in the saw (it's in the lower left of the diagram on that page in a "box", apart from the saw.) Craftsman 358.351202 Scott in Penfield NY

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Hey, which Poulan model is this Craftsman "Sears Best" 3.3 the clone of? Looks like a metal case saw, 54cc, no brake. Would that be a PP335? Or the 3300? Spotted this in a Craigslist ad and wondered what it was (not that I can buy a fifth saw in the same week... dang CAD!) Asking $60, says...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

I love seeing a saw assembled, step by step! Helps motivate me to get going on one of my saws, so thanks for posting! Scott in Penfield NY

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild options

On both of my parts saws, the front bar stud is missing. How much of an issue is this? Does it just push through to the oil tank? Are these commonly missing for some reason? Do you install it right through the oil tank fill hole? The complete saw is open port, while the parts saws are...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild options

I'd say after a good looking over I have about 2 and 3/4 saws, missing at least a top cover and clutch cover. Very pleased, though, nothing looks melted or cracked so far. I'll have to try my compression tester again (but I don't trust it yet, is there a thread on calibrating or testing a...

    Husqvarna 350 rebuild options

I'll be watching this thread, as I've just picked up a 350, plus 2 parts saws, a shop told the guy the cylinder is scored, no idea about the condition of the parts saws' cylinders. All for $60 was a bargain where I live, snapped it up. I see lots of China-fresh p/c kits on eBay. Is there any...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

I've got a 310, and have read in many places that if the manual oiler doesn't work, the most likely problem is the oil line inside the oil tank. I'm only guessing, but maybe turning it upside down and trying the manual oiler would show if the break is inside the tank or outside the tank. It...

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Here's the first file, with the extra pages removed (I hadn't noticed there were two of each page) and the CVA engine page added. I left out the non-CVA engine page, should that be included? I thought it was available elsewhere. Scott in Penfield NY

Isn't the Micro XXV CVA the same as the 2300 CVA? I read that somewhere. There's a 2300 CVA for sale about an hour away from me, are they desirable saws? Scott in Penfield NY

    Nik's Poulan Thread

I got the saw, for the asking price of $60, which included about a gallon of bar oil, but it isn't all good news. The compression isn't very good, so when I get a chance I'll have to dig in and figure out why. If I'm lucky the cylinder will be usable. If I'm very lucky it will just need a...

    Nik's Poulan Thread

Wow, you guys have really infected my brain (with CAD?)! I'm going to look at a Super 380 this afternoon, Craiglist ad find, asking $60. Ad shows blurry pics, which I like if it means the saw doesn't sell before I can see it. This one was posted yesterday, but I saw it late last night, so I...

    350 husky questions,,,,

You should repost this in the Chainsaw forum if you want any answers. Also, using search would allow you to find many previous mentions of this saw and probably answers to your exact questions. Good luck with your rebuild. If the saw was burnt out (scored piston/cylinder) you should be sure...

    Scrapyard Finds

How would I find the right "local saw shops"? I'm only familiar with a shop that wouldn't give me the time of day unless I'm buying something new, right now. How do I figure out what local dealers will be the right kind of place to approach with "used junk" requests? Maybe I'm just too shy to...

If anyone has any ads or related materials for a McCulloch Pro Mac 610 I'd love to see it. Sad to see that so many pics in this thread did not survive. Scott in Penfield NY
