    Echo CS-310 Intake Boot

Any thoughts here? Or tips for pulling out the white insulator without tearing the whole thing apart?

    Echo CS-310 Intake Boot

Hey all. Found an Echo CS-310 at the dump last week and it's gotten me back into wanting to fix a saw. It's filthy, but I put some mix in it and it fired right up. It actually ran pretty well until I pulled the air filter and carb off to start cleaning it. When I put it back together it...

Pferd Chain Sharp CS-X - Swap Files instead of Multiple Guides?

Howdy all. Was recently given a Chain Sharp CS-X by someone that didnt want or use it. Its the model set up for 3/8" chain, but I also am needing to touch up a few 3/8" LP chains. Can I just swap the round files out and use it on both? From looking at the Pferd site the setback for the...

    The Beg for Manuals Thread

Evening All. Been a long time since I have been around, but recently an Echo Cs-310 followed me home for free and it needs some love. Got bit by the bug again. Anyone got a CS-310 shop manual?

Should I Pull the Trigger? New Husky 555

That's why I had said "unless I missed something". Its clear that I had. From the other posts in this thread, you should spend the extra $20 and get a 555 from tlandrum with your extra warranty.

Heads up on a good deal

Nope, the ratio is the ratio. Mix to whatever you feel comfortable running in your saws.

Should I Pull the Trigger? New Husky 555

Unless I missed something, you already pulled the trigger by placing the bid on eBay. Pay the man, get your saw, and go cut wood.

    Stihl 028 av WB

Walbro and Tillotson swap with no problem. Did you use the right gasket from the rebuild kit? Some look similar but are different. How did you clean the carb the first time?

    Stihl 028 av WB

It wasnt doing that, but it had no power in the cut. Swap carbs and see if its happier.

    Stihl 028 av WB

What shape is your impulse line in? Did you do a new fuel line and filter? You said you have another 028. What happens when you swap that carb onto this saw? If it still does it, that rules out your carb troubles. Revving up high sounds like it could be an air leak. Like Jughead said, it...

    Piston scoring.

First saw I ever bought had some carbon scoring. I leaned it out, ran Stihl Ultra in it, and it hasn't given me any problems. I Haber a new piston for it that I'll put in once I have time, but I have no qualms about running the saw in the meantime. Its cut a lot of wood for me since I bought...

    028 wb idle problems

Warm the saw up and adjust the L screw. You may need to go back and forth with the L and LA screws some, and then you will have to readjust the H. If you are still killing the saw when you reduce the idle, it could be that the clutch springs are weak.

Question on Symptoms of Seal Leaks

Thanks all. I just wasnt sure if it could be a different problem since it only seems to show up after I have put some run time on the saw. Guess its a good thing I got those tools from watsonr on the group buy, sounds like Ill need them!

Question on Symptoms of Seal Leaks

I havent. I did put a new line in it when I put it back together, but I realize that might not mean anything. If I get a chance Ill pull the line to see how it looks.

Question on Symptoms of Seal Leaks

Mornin' All. So question about when a seal is leaking on a saw, or I guess more appropriately, when do the symptoms typically show up? A few years back I bought an 028 Super that was pretty rough, but the price was right. With some help here I got it pulled apart and put back together with a...

    Blown in dense pack cellulose

Had it done this spring. Previously had no sheathing on the house, just claps, and no insulation. Added sheathing, dense pack cellulose, and house wrap. HUGE difference so far in comfort and wood consumption. Make sure you specify dense pack, that's where the air sealing benefits come in...
