Yup the 372XP!

Word is that the final curtain call will be this Sept., and there are a limited number available until then. I just ordered a bunch yesterday, and the 2000 that were available for my region have been gobbled up already.

The replacement is going to be the new 576XP, and there will not be a 575"NE". Specs are about a half pound lighter, with increased power.

I assume that not too long after that, the same thing will happen to the Jonsered 2171.

So, everybody has fair warning and plenty of time to grab one before they are gone.

Now I expect that about half of the posts to follow here will be of the "we heard all this crap before" variety. And most of them will be from you dudes with Stihl avatars. ;) But the end of the MS440 kind of snuck up on you guys, and if I was a Stihl guy, I would definitely not want to have missed out on that one, cause it was a great saw.

But us Husky guys on the other hand are fortunate enough to have not one last chance, but FOUR last chances :givebeer:

I thought that cat was on its ninth life,LOLOL

I was at Va Beach this past week end and the word is if the product doesn't run clean on its own its tuff tuff, EPA credits for having clean units will soon no longer apply to offset dirty running units in the very near future. Time is soon approaching so anyone wanting a 372 should do as Spike suggests and get one now. The days of the goodies we all liked are just about overwith.

(ok Spike send the check to THALL INC c/o advertising specialist, 1% for every 372 you sell will be fine)(hehe)

Cool. I'm on vacation this week but give my cell a shout, we'll talk turkey.

While I was visiting Stihl Inc I got a chance to view alot of the new products to meet EPA requirements. There is a ton of new stuff coming out from them and I assume from Husky as well. Interesting times lay ahead for both companies.

From another tread (after you blew the bubble, Spike);

As far as I know, the 372xp has only about 3 months or so to go (in the US) - but I have been wrong before......:censored:

It sure will not be totally gone for years - the 281xp, 272xp, 262xp, 257 and 254xp still are on the Russian web-site (just an example, lots of old models are still made in Brazil). Some of them are slightly down-rated in power, compared to the Swedish made originals, but most are not.

LOL, old friend - nice to see you around!

Take at look at the link I posted above, the specs are there - a small problem for comparison is that the 441 weights more than the specs say, and the original 575xp weights less than the specs say - so they actually weight the same. I have no clue what the true weight of the 576xp is, so far.

All weights are empty powerhead, of course.

Key word in bold. Do you actually know that the 576 is what it's printed on paper to be? No, we won't know until it's out and people like us have ran it......

I have contact with one "test pilot" that have run them for quite some time - in the name of NE575xp.....

Well shoot, I thought you had some good numbers for me to argu you with,LOLOL

Hell, he doesn't know..........The first 575 specs looked good on paper........

LOL, well hopefully they got the 576 right. They're on their 3rd attempt now to dethrone the 441 with one of their strato charged babies. Hell if I had been them I would had Stihl build it for me and got it right the first time,LOLOL

(sorry Troll, I couldn't resist,hehe)

LOL, the 441 never has been on a throne (unless in your imagination) - and never will.....:greenchainsaw:

Is that what happened to the 365? I bought one for my dad about 1 1/2 years ago and the dealer then told me that he could only get a few of them because they were classified as "dirty saws". I used the 365 this past weekend along side my 5100 and boy I really like the 365. I was actually thinking, if I get another saw, it will be the 372, since its the same weight as the 365, but even more oomph. Unfortuneately, I can't justify a new saw right now.
