i went today to take a look at the 346 my local Huskavarna dealer is not selling Husky's any more he blamed it on the cheep Huskys ruining his business , so it appears that my only local chain saw dealer is just Stihl , so i may be looking at a ms 260 or maybe the ms 250
Nighttrain,
The little 250 is a great saw. Light, handy, and puts up with heavy use.
I love mine, and am thinking about it's replacement for when it goes. Rebuilding it would be silly. It would cost about the same to just buy another.
The 260 makes better power for similar weight, is better and more robustly built to take the heavy use my 250 has somehow managed to tolerate thus far.
The difference of 200 bucks, over several extra years of limbing out 30 cords actually favors the 260.
Too bad the 346 is out of the running for you.
The MS361 cures Cancer, but the 346XP can raise the dead, cure Zombies, and make Werewolves piddle themselves.
It does a good job limbing too.
I'm still stuck between the 346 and the 260, and the dealers will have to work for the sale...unless I can find another used 250 CHEAP.
Stay safe!
