i have been banned temporaly from sight twice since joining about 7 months ago.

Yup, been banned before. Historically, the folks who actually knew something and were actually interesting got banned on a fairly regular basis. It's a badge of honor, really. Unless you get banned for crap in off-topic or the political forum, that's not nearly as respectable.

Once early on. A rule that I didn't know about. I never considered it a big deal, and didn't get PO'd about it. Overall, I think the site is run in a fair manner.

Getting sent to the Principal's office isn't as bad as getting expelled, so don't get worked up about it.
