LOLOL, getem tiger. As for me anyone MOFO that walks in the shop asking for any sort of modification will get told two words, NO WAY.

I've always been one to set saws at a decent rpm level at time of sale. It usually means pulling the carb caps. This most certainly puts the emissions greater than what EPA allows. Come 2010 with fines like $37,500 I may have say to hell with removing caps. Strato motors can't come fast enough...

Hell with all the moonshine they're putting in the gas, I'm having to run stuff a half turn rich just to get it enough fuel to run. I'm yankin' limiter caps left and right, it's raisin' hell with the 4 Mix engines, I've had a couple running 2 full turns out just get a enough fuel to pick up.

I'm with ya. I do the samething. I'm told its wrong but when I ask what do I do to get it running correctly all I get told is "you know what to do". EPA makes it tuff for sure. 2010 looks to be a nitemare.....

Exactly. If you don't know the person at all I'd be very leary of messing with any mods they may request. If ya know the man well I see no harm in keeping a secret,LOL

Well I didn't put up that info to bust anyone, merely to warn everyone of whats coming. Modding is a passion and sport to many and I personally see no harm in it even though I'm quite happy with stock saws myself. I wouldn't wish a $37,500 fine on anyone and thats why I posted that information.

Notice the law does not regulate the emissions themselves, just the retailer who may, or may not be, involved in interstate commerce on the particular transaction.
