044 Winter air filter kit

Got a new unopened winter air filter kit for an 044. Got it on Ebay, thought I was looking at the regular barrel style filter but didnt read close enough. Dont need it, it dosnt get cold where I live. Im looking for a regular filter or a cylinder cover for an 044 if anybody is interested.

Chainsaw 1 forsale... Picked it up last year. Seems to be in nice shape. Pulls over fine, I dont think it has spark although i havent checked yet. I would like to get it running before i sell it, but is there any interest in this saw, Non running? Ive never seen one before like it...

Those Orlines are pretty cool little saws...you might want to keep it after you get it running. Most people are having to make their own carb diaphragms for them to get them running.

Well the 750 Homie is off the table now, but I am still lookin for a full wrap handle for an 038 and an air filter for a Husky 65/77. I can trade parts or cash. Thanks.

I wanna thank GrizzlyAdams86 for hooking me up with a real nice used air filter for my husky 77. It will be a big help getting this build finished. I could still use a full wrap handle for an 038.

There is a man in St Louis who is selling them on ebay for about ten dollars. If you want his number send me a PM.
I hope this does not get me in trouble with the powers that be. I am just trying to help someone. Tom

You don't want to know how many hundred dollar bills I have found! LOL!!
Keeping the boots on the ground, and shacking the trees will be your best bet to find them hundred dollar bills!!!

I can say it now, since I hit my surrounding area, but go to the library and get old phone books. Look up the saw shops, small engine shops, and pre 980 they actually listed 2-cycle shops. I called every number and went to 99% of the addresses! It was amazing as to the leads and finds I have come across!!!!

I want a flying unicorn that breaths fire and can turn into a horny Selma Hayek on command. Lets see which one of us gets our wish first.:yoyo:

I win!
I win!
Hoss! Believe it or not! SHE IS SITTING ON MY BENCH!
Ya I said it! She is sitting on my unfinished chainsaw bench!

Did it come from the factory like that or did you build it? Either way, no pics is cruel and unusual punishment with a find like this. I guess I better check the back porch for a curvy nympho unicorn since wishes are apparently comming true tonight.

I have been sucking ALL I can find(MANUALS MOSTLY!) sawbones, still has me beat! But I found 4 different 090G service manuals! I noticed it with the 090 as well. I don't really know why yet! But any ways, I found the part numbers as Gumnuts mentioned awhile back about a Contra G S case that was AV ready!
Started to hunt every pic and mentioning of 090AV and ContraAV and found a saw shop in Erie PA, that was just a sitting on a gold mine! LOL!!!!:clap:
I have a 090G AV that matches to the T with the part numbers listed in the 090G service manual that gives a ADDITION (*) to a AV gear drive model. I started typing part numbers and lo-behold found the shop in Erie that had a parts saw with the Stihl part numbers I was looking for! The numbers are(I think earlier)then what I have for the early model 090AV!

Long story short! I have a 090G AV that is true to Stihl!

Also have a 090G AV hybrid that I swapped out a AV system from one I didn't sell on Ebay! She is a dream saw! gear drive with a AV mount, come on! That is nuts! I have only made 2 cuts with it, with a 27" Sandvik bar!

I can't take credit for the 090G-AV-HYBRID. it was some one else idea.
The TRUE 090G AV was a find, I can't prove it as factory! But can prove it through my IPL!

Thanks GUMNUTS!
P.S. no more ideas or leads, they are killing me! LOL!!

callin' yo bluff...

:chatter: :looser: :poke:

lol

Fair enough!

And the pics are........................??

I have pics of the AV set up which I spent about 2 hours looking at the other similar style I have, and see SMALL casting differences, and screws(flat head compared to the normal hex style I see in the early model hardware!
I will get the pics up soon of the exact same Hybrid once the misses allocates the camera again! Going kid crazy with the pics! LOL!
And the TRUE(or what I believe to be true) 090G AV set up will not be done till I find a minty early model 090G to attach it to. None of mine fit the bill.
Most of the super nice ones are the newer metal badge style! BUT I will post pics of the set up in it's entirety! for all to see if I am LUCKY or mislead by my own information.
