Nice Roland, I like it. Very kool sound.
I have 2 of them bad boys but they don't
run yet. I might have to address that in the
near future.

I think you should !!! Them long rod saws are a bit particular, that's why I like them.

Big saws generally have a nice idle and a habit to shake foundations of your workshop. I don't have vids of two men saws handy, but this is a nice sounding solo Rex. You can almost count the RPM...:hmm3grin2orange:

Now that's a familiar sound! :hmm3grin2orange:
I now think I'm catching the bug- I guess it's called CAD...
All those sound great. My saw hasn't got that good deep rumble those older ones do and my they have a sweet sound, thanks Modified Mark for starting the thread and letting me hear all that everyone's posted.
I just found the thread, and it inspired me to spend the last 40 minutes trying to get something together to post. Apologies in advance, not in possession of a video camera so had to bring the saw into the house next to the computer Microphone.. not real computer literate either, but managed to get this together. Hope it works

and... one of these day's I'll learn how to embed things into the actual post.
Thought I might as well add to this.. This was some of the first cuts with it, was idling a little fast. Can hear the top cover rattling also. Since fixed that.

Gregg,
You got an bad working technique, what you are doing are very bad for your back. You must bend in the knees, not the back.
And that is something i see alot here, very bad working techniques. People here is porting, and modding saws, an running the hell out of the saws. Treating them like it wasyour wife or kid.
but it dosent seem like they care about their bodies. I seem like some of dont even got Chainsaw safety pants, or chaps. If you buy chainsaw also buy safety gear, and if doesent can afford it, then can you just forget the hole chainsaw thing.
Dont you got "chainsaw schools" ?
