Back at the ranch, 13+ hours of GTG and a stop at the local on the way home. Sorry no pics, there were lots of other cameras out today, so I left mine in the car.

Thanks to Sarah and Andy, Boyd, Baileys, Philbert, and anyone else that contributed to an awesome GTG.

Ted, don't feel bad. My saws (and chain) are outclassed when I go to a GTG with the saw nuts, but I could care less the other 350+ days a year. I challenge some of those chains to buck a tank of gas worth of wood first, then race. The hot rod ported saws I can't compete with, but they're fun to watch cutting cookies. Many were fun to run too, another thanks to all those who's saws I put my grubby fingerprints on today!

I almost wish IA was next weekend, then I wouldn't bother unloading the car.

I totally agree with having fun running those souped up saws! What a blast! And, I tell you what, as soon as someone orders a full cord of cookies, I will have one souped up for me! :msp_w00t: Until then, guess I will stick to what I have.

Ted

And by the way... Thanks, WorkSaw Collector for giving me the saw in the 1st place!

(Now I just gotta figure out how to start the darned thing with my weak little T-rex arms)

A huge thanks to Andy and Sara for all your hard work in hosting this thing and for the awesome food!! Sure wish I could of stayed later and enjoyed watching Sara whoop up on the boys. Had another good night at the race track so it made for a great weekend.

If there ever was an example of a picture being worth 1000 words, that there is it.

Priceless.:blob2:

One last one before I have to get back in the log pile.

I couldn't figure out what the picture was at first. I think I was taking pics/videos of the "Zip Fest" and Heavy Fuel came up and introduced himself to me.

For some odd reason I must of fat fingered the "take picture" button and this was taken.

Anyways, I thought it was kind of neat and exemplifies what these GTG's are all about.

I'll have some more videos when I get back in of 'Zip Fest", the Big Macs, and TM playing in the Cant.

Jake was the topic of conversation with my mom, too... (now read this in a minnesohta accent) "Oh ya, that young man sure is a nice fella".

The other quote from ma I had to laugh about... "now that monkey fella.. he sure seems to be a nice guy, too..." :msp_w00t:

Ben, this is a great pic... really sums up the whole GTG experience.

The only 3 pics I snapped yesterday with the phone, first is the blueberry pie specter29 brought over. Dee-lish-us! Wendell, wish ya was here!

My trunk full of toys. I thought I had a pretty good load on the way up, then Heavy Fuel laid a 1-70 McC carcass and box of parts on me that made it an even tighter squeeze:

Poor Sarah after the food had it's effect on Michael, perpetrator in the far background:

I'll say it again for anyone reading this trying to decide if it's worthwhile to go to a GTG, YES! Even if all you bring is yourself or one little saw, you're bound to learn stuff, meet some good people (and a few characters), and leave with a belly full of good food. Guys travel hundreds of miles sometimes to go to these things for a reason.

Enjoying everyone else's pics & vids, keep em coming!

more pics...

And I'll just apologize right now - I am HORRIBLE with names... so please forgive me- I'll identify those that I'm 100% on. Please feel free to identify yourself or others for the benefit of those living vicariously through our pictures...:msp_unsure:
