The few OG redwood fallers I knew were pretty well broken down. There hands looked like claws and they couldn't hear very well. But even in old age they were tough.

I hunt elk with some of those guys, in their 70's. I have seen them carry a quarter out of the woods without a wimper, while I am huffing and sweating like a whore in church just from gutting it. I say "Yes Sir" a lot around those fellows.

I would think someone who has been running a chainsaw since he was 8 years old would have lots of pics. Oh, and where did that post go?

And now you're attacking Brad Snelling for being humble enough to post his mistakes and his honest opinions. Brad has a ton of friends here who won't take a liking to your accusations. Me for one. Time for you to leave ya think?

I won't bother even defending RandyMac. He can do that better than I ever could. But I'll tell you, once again you have insulted a well known and valuable AS member. Time for you to go and not come back. Course that's just my opinion.

boy son you just keep pokin. why are you so but hurt on west coasters and there methods? no one originally took any personal shots at you or your ignorance but you sure are trying to. and you have shown your ignorance on other threads also. so take a pill and read and learn .
please show me where i attacked anyone? referenced yes, attacked, no. i am not "hurt"by any of these people or their methods, i question them is all. and, lastly i am not your son.

I'm more interested in your opinion. If you're going to bring someone's name up who has nothing to do with the discussion you should be prepared to clarify what you mean, instead of skirting the question. If you are scared to defend your opinion thats fine, but don't expect people to take you seriously if you're not man enough to say what you mean.
i have no opinion, no skirting here either. and we all know how seriously you and your posts are taken.

Reminds me of some of the old welders/blacksmiths I know. One guy is 94 years old, can hardly walk, but can still weld better than 90% of current journeyman, and can still swing the big hammers far longer than I can.

The other day one of the "welders" who works for me told me that a spark burned his arm. I laughed and walked away. I don't understand people's sacklessness.

I have been welding since I was 8 years old, and I have never had a spark on the arm hurt enough to bother me. Now if it was a big ball of slag landing in your lap, and burning its way through your boxers, or if one landed in your ear, thats different. Anyone who complains about a spark burning their arm has no business calling them self a welder.

I'll be the first to say....I HATE sparks in the ear. It sizzles and though it doesn't hurt much...it somehow sucks nevertheless.

The 101 would be sweet, too. J&J is Roy and Allen Johnson. Allen is the defending NHRA Pro Stock champ. They build the engines for themselves, Vincent Nobile, and Jeg Coughlin right there in Greenville.
Allen Johnson clinches first NHRA Pro Stock championship - Autoweek

I've known Allen "Rooster" Johnson for many years, but I have never met his dad. His dad gets a lot of credit (well deserved I'm sure as he has been at it for a long time) but you got to give Allen his due with his quick reaction times. As an aside, his car trailer is as nice a shop as you could find in the finest backyard and many a commerical garage. But we digress from the issue at hand. Our Canadian friend needs a big saw if he can afford it even if just for fun. Ron

BTW, anyone else laugh at waiters when they show up in a fire resistant suit, telling you not to touch your plate because it's HOT?

Sorry, back on topic.
