Thanks for the feedback Spike. When you have extra setups, why not use them? I bet 3/8" would be faster lin limbing or smaller wood.
You are right of course. There is an entertainment element here...But arguing is much more fun.
His post just above yours reveals all. He stakes his position on a comical reality show. Stihls are the number one saw in Disneylamd! That's all he's got. All the real guys are out in the woods working, while he's watching saturday morning cartoons. The more he posts, the funnier it gets. I'm not going to ignor him at all. I'm looking forward to his next post!
MAAAAAAAAAAGNUM!!!! Sure isn't referring to his IQ, is it?

Is that 346 using 3/8?That's odd. My 562 with a 20" takes 72 drivers, same as the 362. The 346 with 16" takes 65 drivers, same as the 260.
Yep. I have 3/8 x .050 on everything.Is that 346 using 3/8?
18" , 3/8 pitch on a 346 will be 68 drive links. If you are running a cannon super mini 67dl works better unless you grind the stud slot.
He bought one already, few post above? If you have not yet pulled the trigger on a flimsy 550 I can sell you one PHO, if you wanted I could grab a 3/8 sprocket for an extra $6-8. I also have a xpg if you prefer that route. Most of the local dealers swap the .325 for a 3/8 on the 545 and 550 saws. I think if you were bucking and felling the 3/8 would be the better choice, I really like the .325 for smaller wood, brush etc. seems less grabby.
Omg that's hilarious some of the best cutting chains I have are OEM stihl that I sharpened. All kind of crazy stuff from dealers, the Stihl dealer here almost refuses to sell Stihl chain, claims that all the loggers want Oregon. He even says that when they buy a new Stihl, they have him take the chain off and replace it with Oregon. I don't go there anymore, and the John Deere toy store that sells Stihl are blind or I'm invisible when I walk in there.
